Embers of the Season (poem)

For those who celebrate...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

May your day and new year be filled with joy and light.

And here is a poem to celebrate this season of joy:

‘Embers of the Season’ by Alexander Bentley

In the quiet, a child’s laughter blooms,
Soft as snow falling against the windowpane.
A hand brushes another by the hearth,
Its warmth speaking what words cannot.

Candlelight trembles across the table,
Illuminating faces weathered but radiant.
There is no distance here, no lost time—
Only the ache of belonging, the fullness of now.

Outside, snow carries whispers of hope,
Its chill pressing gently against the glass.
And as the embers fade into the night—
Love holds steady, like a never-ending light.
